My family and I spent 8 beautiful nights at Blooming Villa Higashikawa, and it was our favourite stay compared to any other villa or even onsen hotel in Hokkaido. Waking up to a view of snow-capped mountains, the silence of paddy fields all around, a fully-equipped modern kitchen, extremely comfortable rooms and living room (and reading nook!), potential to add on an extra studio if more space is needed, ample parking space, and very close to Asahikawa (city and airport), Biei, Furano, and Daisetsuzan National Park. Plus, Haya and her team are excellent hosts. Cannot ask for more! Thank you so much for hosting us.

Blooming Villa is easy to like – fully-equipped, modern, great views. We loved the separation between the 2 “units” as they’re called, both with their own bathroom, toilet, kitchen, sofa, TV, etc., albeit a much smaller kitchen and lounge area in the studio. But as 2 couples traveling together, it’s nice to have your own private space to get some time apart. We also loved the large dining table which easily seats 6, and the island kitchen which doubles as a counter bar (we made frozen margaritas using the mixer provided :-). Lots to see and do in Higashikawa, all weather-dependent of course. We got a fair bit of rain during our stay but it didn’t dampen our spirits, we had a great time. The staff were professional but very friendly and gave us some helpful advice on restaurants in the area. Thanks guys!

こちらの別荘には冬に滞在させていただきましたが、広い間取りにも関わらず北海道の厳しい寒さとは無縁の暖かさに驚きでした。聞けば全部屋に床暖房を完備しているとの事。エアコン不要の優しい暖かさに癒されました。玄関土間のタイルにまで暖房が入っているのは本当に有難かった。近隣のスキー場に毎日通いましたが、雪で濡れたスキーブーツが翌朝にはしっかり乾きインナーの中まで温まるので翌日のスキー中は足指が凍えることもなかったです。スキー板もバッチリ乾くのでエッジの手入れが楽。

一番の感動エピソードは、早朝起きると窓に「霜華」が張り付いていたこと。霜華を見たのは初めてで日が上るにつれて移りゆく華の模様。さらにその幻想的な美しさの奥には瑠璃色の空から昇るオレンジ色の太陽と雄大な大雪山が。真っさらな雪の平原にちょこんと見えるキツネのリズミカルな足跡も🐾これらの芸術を日の出の時間に鑑賞し、まったりと堪能させてもらいました。窓からの芸術鑑賞がこのステイでの一番の醍醐味かと思います。

外へ出るとキリッと肌を刺すシャープな寒さは東川ならでは。ニセコとはまた違った穏やかで芸術的な時間を味わいに、また近いうちにお邪魔したいと思います。

夫婦2人で利用させていただきました。お天気が良く、どのお部屋からも大雪山がとてもきれいに見えました。特にバスルームからの景色が最高で、ついつい長風呂をしてしまいました。

また、冬季間の利用だったのですが、全室床暖房で心地良い暖かさで快適に過ごせました。その他の設備もおしゃれで清潔感があり、どのお部屋も素敵でした。

スタッフの方もとても感じの良い方で、近隣のお店やイベント情報を教えてくださり、東川を満喫できました。次回は、家族で利用させていただきたいと思います。

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at this vacation rental. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed. We already knew the location was ideal for us – in a quiet area but very close to Canmore ski field. The island kitchen is pretty cool and has everything you need to cook meals, underfloor heating (a first for us) is soooo nice, and my wife especially enjoyed the jet bath. The host was quick to respond to our questions, and they also provide a short written manual for the house and a more detailed one online (particularly helpful for us non-Japanese!). And the views are just incredible. We’re already planning on coming back again, hopefully for a bit longer next time. We definitely recommend!
